Pran was bom out of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Bom to the "plain folk" (like the Amish) he was the first grandson on both sides of his family and the first child to be bom off the farm in 200 years. His family moved to Florida in 1968 where he attended Largo High School and started pre-med at Eckerd College. He spent a year in a spiritual community studying yoga.

Then, still searching, he hitchhiked through the United States and Canada for 4 years. Then he went back to Largo where he met and married his wife of nearly 30 years, Apana. They had two beautiful daughters. He worked construction for 15 years to support his family, never giving up the dream of becoming a doctor. He did apprentice work with an acupuncturist for two years, working on horses. He was amazed how well it worked.

And so, 20 years later to the day that he had started pre-med at Eckerd College, he started Chinese Medical School. He worked as a massage therapist in chiropractic clinics and skydive drop zones to pay his way through school. He studied Chinese Medicine for 4 years, receiving his degree in 1995. From 1995 to 2000 he did post graduate work in color therapy. From 2000 to 2004 he did post grad work in relaxation and medical hypnosis. "So many disorders of the body are stress related, learn to relax and you will always feel better" he said.

For the past two years he has been traveling to Copenhagen, Denmark to study Acupuncture for Eye Disorders with Dr. Freddy Dahlgren. "It is so amazing how this works on so many eye problems" said Pran, "we are having an 89% success rate." Pran is the only doctor in the United States doing this therapy using Dr. Dahlgren's most recently developed techniques.

For Pran the road was long to his dream of being a doctor. But now that he is there, living his dream, he is grateful daily for the ability to help heal humanity's many maladies. Pran's clinic is in Dade City, Florida.
