Tightline Fishing Charters
Capt. Ron Hatcher
The creeks and waterways around Ponce Inlet are great places to target flounder, sheepshead, snook, redfish and drum. We carry light tackle on board for our guests, including spinning reels and a variety of baits. However, one of the most exciting forms of back-country fishing, is casting a plug on a hungry fish!
Ponce Inlet has been a destination for sportsman worldwide for many years. This deep water inlet and the rocks surrounding it harbor many species of hard fighting fish. Shallow areas that border the inlet are favorite hiding spots for mullet, pinfish and many of the baits used to entice a redfish or spotted seatrout to the boat.
Inshore reefs can provide many tasty opportunities such as black sea bass, red snapper, trigger, dolphin and cobia. Not for dining, but one hookup on the "Silver King" Tarpon will give you a battle you won't soon forget. Ponce Inlet is considered one of the area's prime fishing spots. The area is known for hookin' up and hangin' on!
